I wanted to inform of you of the results from my appointment at MD Anderson on February 28. My exam went well, my mammogram was fine and my blood work for my CA125was 11.3. That means that I am doing fine and my next appointment will be in June.

Thank you for all your prayers.

Now for another prayer request. This one is for our co-worker Pattie Walker, she will be having surgery Thursday, March 15 for breast cancer in both breast.

Another Home Going - February 25, 2012

We got home about an hour ago from going to the homegoing celebration of Penny Wilkins, she was the wife to Dr. James Wilkins. As her program read, "left on vacation to Heaven, February 20, 2012, now fellowshipping with family, friends, and converts. Waiting to be re-assigned a position in the Thousand Year Reign under her beloved Saviour, King Jesus." We were blessed to have worked with Miss Penny and Dr. Wilkins. Sitting there listening to testimonies and then hearing Bro. Wilkins preach was awesome. Miss Penny was 82 years young. If you knew her, you would understand.
She was known for her faithful prayer life and her soulwinning life.

Just a week ago, another precious friend and special lady that we were blessed to have worked with in the ministry, went home to be with the Lord. Kim Boling, and oh so young (36 yrs. old) left her husband and 4 precious children.

The week just before Christmas a lady in our church was burnt severally. She died January 12, 2012, she was 72 yrs old.

I have been reading about several people dying lately while catching up on Facebook, from teenagers dying in car wrecks, a 50 yr. old preacher dying, and the list goes on.

I read also this week of friends Allen & Alicia Little who lost their young son Kendrick to cancer a couple of years ago. Still ache and feel for other parents who hear everyday that their child has cancer, or doesn't have long to live or have just passed away.

Then I would like to ask prayer for Lucy Seward, I think she is 7 yrs. old who is scheduled to have heart surgery in a few days. Right now she has been sick with a virus, and of course, they can't do surgery if she is sick. The right side ventricle is stretching like a water balloon, please, please pray.

Then a co-worker just found out she has breast cancer in both breasts and is scheudled for surgery March 13. (Pattie)

If you can read about all these situations, of sickness, death, and heartache and not be move to do anything I feel for you. We can ALL PRAY, don't forget about all these families who are hurting. I know having gone through cancer twice it has made a difference in my prayer life. Everytime I hear of someone with cancer, my heart breaks for them, for you see we have been there and know the devistation of that awful disease. Another way all this moves me is to think how short life is and how your life can change in an instant.

Do you think Michael and Kim thought this awful infection would take her life so young? Death comes knocking at the door of all ages, we don't know how much time we have. Scott and I have such a burden for our family to be saved. We pray daily for them.

As family and friends read this, please think long and hard about this next qyestion. Do you know, that you know, that you know, when you die you are going to heaven? If you can't say yes immediately, it is VERY IMPORTANT that you take care of you destiny, RIGHT NOW!

As you read above, we can't say, "I've got time, I'm still young." Or "I'll do it later." Later, may never come, you may be in an accident, you may have a heartattack, what if you were put in a coma and never woke up. This is VERY SERIOUS and is not to take lightly.

The Face of Sin is that all are sinners.
Romans 3:10 "...there is none righteous, no, not one:'
Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"
The Penalty for Sin is Death and Hell.
Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Rev. 21:8 "But the fearful, and unbelieving...shall have their part in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone;"
Jesus Died to Pay for Our Sin.
Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
The Individual Response to the Gospel means that one cannot work to save himself, one must turn from self or religion and ask God to save them.
Romans 10:9-10 "That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession made unto salvation."

If in your heart you believe and are willing to be saved you must repent of your sin and place your faith in Jesus as Saviour. Call upon the Lord by praying to Him.

"Dear Lord, I confess that I am a sinner. I repent of my sin, and ask you for mercy and forgiveness through the shed blood of your Son, Jesus. I believe your promise, that from this moment on, according to your Word, I will be your child and that you will reserve a home in Heaven for me. Thank you for saving me, in Jesus name. Amen."

Now, if you have received the Lord as your Saviour, please let me know.

As I sat at that funeral today and Bro. Wilkins was telling a story about someone handing a tract to someone. The person says, "I can't read, but I will follow your footsteps to learn how to be saved." Wow, I thought that is something we all need to think about. If we are a Christian and know Jesus Christ as our Saviour, where would our footsteps lead others? Would it be to the Lord, would it be to church faithfully, would it be out soulwinning, just where would we lead them? Folks, we must get busy winning our family and friends to the Lord, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!

Also, I would like to ask you to be praying for me this Tuesday, February 28th, as I go back to MD Anderson for another 4 month check up. I will be having blood work, mammogram, and a physical exam.

Thank you for your prayers for me and for others. God bless.

URGENT, URGENT PRAYER REQUEST - Feb. 10, 2012

My heart is heavy as I type this. Many of you already know what has been going on with Kim Boling. If you are on Facebook you can follow her updates by going to www.facebook.com/pages/Prayer-for-KIM/162305853884715

Some have asked me how I know Kim, we went to church together in Fort Worth, Texas. She was such a blessing to us. She also was in my home church at Faith Baptist Church, Bourbonnais, IL for awhile.

Below is an update that was posted on Facebook.

Kim is on her way to Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, OK. The outlook from the beginning was 80% mortality and due to the inability to contain the infection her chances have decreased.

She is still fighting. When Michael asked if she wanted the kids to tell her bye, she nodded yes. The staff did a wonderful job concealing everything in the room, so all they could see was from the nose up. They had the chance to say they loved her & was praying for her.

We have not lost hope, but understand that God is in complete control!

Thank you everyone for taking the time to pray for our family!

Friends and family please PRAY, PRAY, PRAY!!! Please pass this URGENT PRAYER REQUEST to as many folks as you can.

Thank you,
Debbie

Wow! What a busy couple of months! - December 18, 2011

Since my last post it seems like it has been non stop. With work, regular church services, special church services and trying to keep up with things to be done at home and now Christmas just one week away. Like they say, the older we get the faster time goes by. As a child, we think time goes by sooooooooo slow.

Since I missed even posting anything in November, I want to mention some things I am thankful for. I am so thankful for my health, once you have been through cancer twice each day is an extra blessing. I am thankful for my husband who has been there and taken care of me through it all. I am thankful for my family members near and far. I must confess the older I get the more I miss all of my family. I hate being so far away from all of them. On my birthday, November 14th I received an extra blessing. I was reading posts on Facebook and noticed a post from someone on a friend's page by the last name of Billadeau. Well, I just had to go back and check on this person. (My maiden name was Billadeau). So I started chatting with this girl on Pam Britt's page. Come to find out we are related, she was my 1st cousin's granddaughter. So I went to her page to check her out and by her speech was curious to ask if she was saved. So I went back to Pam's page and asked her if she was a Christian. Her reply was "Yes". Not only did I find a long lost family member but she also is a Christian. Thank you Jesus. That is not the end of this story. So I just had to find out how she became a Christian. She told me she was a bus kid at Faith Baptist Church, in Bourbonnais, Illinois. Wow, now I was really exctied and had tears in my eyes!!! Faith Baptist Church in Bourbonnais, Illinois is where I got saved, baptized and served the Lord for many years. This girl also got to attend the school there and is right finishing up LPN school in June and then will be attending Bible College. A couple of weeks ago we even got to talk on the phone. Looking forward to getting to meet her someday.

I am so thankful to Faith Baptist Church and all their soulwinning efforts. I am thankful that I learned many years ago to be a soulwinner there and am still winning souls to Christ. Folks soulwinning is a way of life not just something you do when it is convenient. I am thankful that my sister and brother-in-law cared to share Jesus with me. Stop and think who it was that told you about Jesus, thank them. Then stop and think how many people you have won to Christ yourself and are you still looking for lost souls. Christians there are lost souls out there we just need to go find them. They are someone's mom, dad, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, grandparents, friend, co-worker, etc.

With Christmas one week away let's remember what Christmas is all about. It isn't all the decorations, presents, Santa, etc. It is all about HIM! It is Jesus' birthday, let's pray about what we are going to give Jesus for his birthday. I have been teaching in my Sunday School class for 2 or 3 weeks now, "What are we going to give Jesus for His birthday? We have been putting things in a red package in our room and next week we will give it to HIM! Maybe you need to be more faithful to church, maybe you need to be reading your Bible more, what about giving, what about going soulwinning, what are you doing for him?

Things at Faith Baptist Church in Pasadena, Texas has been doing good. We have had several saved in the last 3 months. Looking forward to what God is going to do in 2012. Again, please pray with us for some help. We need help with our youth, someone who can do Children's Church, we need a piano player and someone to lead music.

Scott and I want to wish each and everyone of you a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.

Prayer Requests - October 14, 2011

Just wanted to share some prayer requests with all you prayer warriors. All are cancer patients:

Leah Adams - waiting to find out what Stage she is in. (liver & lymph nodes)
Bonnie Bryan - in hospital, has a couple of fractures in back along with cancer
Joanne Nelson - ovarian cancer - in hospital right now, in pain and fluid still in lungs and abdomen.
Owen Ivey - haven't heard a recent update, but continue to pray for him.

Again, it seems like you hear of another cancer patient almost daily. I am sure you folks out there know someone with cancer or has gone through cancer. When you pray for these folks, also pray for their family, friends and medical staff. The support group is very important. The greatest support is our "GREAT PHYSICIAN". I don't know anyone can go through cancer without the Lord. Let's share HIM whenever possible.

4 Month Check Up - October 6, 2011

Went this morning for my 4 month check up. First of all we went to work at 5:30 am to do our first run, then it was off to downtown Houston to MD Anderson. My blood work was scheduled for 9:30 am and that is exactly when we arrived. We don't get in from our 1st run until 8:30-8:45 am but we did make it on time. Then my doctor's appointment was at 10:30 am. Not much of a wait today. Everything went good, one stick for blood and then nothing new at the doctor's office. Dr. Soliman said everything looks good. I got called later with my CA-125 results which was 10.9. I love getting good news. Praise the Lord! What a "Great Physician" I have!!!!

While at MD Anderson I picked up some information about the 2011 Online Quilt Auction (Oct. 26-Nov. 9, 2011) you can go to ovarianquilt.com. It is raising awareness and research funds for gynecologic cancers. Check it out.

Some symptoms you can look for in Ovarian Cancer: 1)Bloating, 2)Pelvic or abdominal pain, 3) Difficulty eating or feeling full quickly, and 4) Urinary symptoms (urgency and frequency).

Endometrial(Uterine)Cancer Symptoms: 1) Bleeding after menopause (experienced by over 90% of endometrial patients), 2) Irregular vaginal bleeding before menopause, 3) Unusual vaginal discharge, 4) Change in bowel or bladder habits, 5) Pain in the pelvic area, and 6) Pain during sexual intercourse.

Again, please get a simple blood test CA-125, it can save your life. Cancer is an awful thing to experience and it is awful for your family and friends.

Thank you for all your prayers and support.

OVARIAN CANCER AWARENESS MONTH - September 3, 2011

GOD HAS BEEN SO GOOD
It has been awhile since I have posted on my blog. It has been a busy summer. Scott and I worked summer school and at the beginning of August we took the first 2 weeks and went to Illinois to visit with my family. We had a great time. Always sad to leave my family, it had been 4 years since we were up there. It seems the older I get the more I miss them all.

We got back in time for inservice at work and school started August 22nd. Already 2 weeks into this school year. So far so good.

On August 31st our air conditioner was stolen from our church again. The first time was on June 1st, we found an air conditioner on Craig's list for $250.00. It was an old unit but was working good enough to get us by until we could save up enough money for a new one. Well, then the second one was stolen. This past Thursday I posted on Facebook about our church having two air conditioners stolen within 3 months. A news reporter read my post and did some investigating and found us through the police report. I did not post the name of our church, phone number or anything. When we got home from work she had called wanting an interview. So Thursday night they interview Scott and then did a live report at the church Thursday evening. When we got home Thurday night after the live report our phone was ringing with folks who wanted to help. Long story short, today they brought us a brand new air conditioner, cage for it and installed free of charge. What a MIGHTY GOD we serve. We are so thankful and blessed by what God has done.

As for my health it is good, my next MD Anderson appointment is on October 6th. Also, be aware that September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Just want to mention that every woman needs to be aware that this type of cancer doesn't have many symptoms so the best way to check for it is to have a blood test called CA125.

Hard to believe it has already been over a year since my last chemo. I still pray that it never comes back again and thank my GREAT PHYSICIAN for my health. I hope you know my GREAT PHYSICIAN, I do have a great physician at MD Anderson, but I am talking about my Lord and Saviour. I could of never made it without HIM!
