Time to Catch UP - Aug. 9, 2014

A lot has happened since my last post. The Lord has impressed upon our hearts to serve Him in another way. In April of this year we sold our house and bought us a 5th wheel trailer and a truck so that we could travel where ever the Lord would direct us as missionaries. We left on a Monday evening a headed up to Illinois. Wow, we were both excited! I must say I was probably more excited as we were finally moving back up north and close to my family. We joined Faith Baptist Church in Bourbonnais, IL and have been sent out as missionaries to help plant new churches and to help small struggling churches. Our pastor Terry Anglea and the folks there have been very supportive and helpful in getting us on our way. So our journey started to raise support, but before we could even really get started in that area, churches were calling us for help. So we left on May 15 and headed to Quincy, Illinois to help a church there. What a blessing that was for us. Our next church was in Effingham, Illinois, then Rock Falls, Illinois and while there had a call from another church but was not able to go there because our schedule would not allow us right now. We got a call from a man who was in our church and asked to come preach his wife's funeral. We headed to Texas July 27. We were headed to Cleveland, TX, then Scott preached the funeral and then headed back to Baytown, TX. Scott is preaching Aug. 10 evening service in New Caney, TX and then we have some other appointments the rest of the month in Texas. We will head to the Fort Worth area, Burleson, Joshua, TX and he will be preaching there. Now I would like to ask for prayer, as my next MD Anderson appointment is this Thursday, Aug. 14 at 1:00 pm for blood work and then 2:00 pm with the doctor. This is a routine 6th month check up. Hopefully I will be able to keep this more up to date. Sometimes we are parked in an area where there is no Wifi or phone service. That is not fun. But we are so enjoying traveling all over but most of all helping churches and encouraging pastors and their wives. We have been there and know what small churches go through. When you think of us, please pray for Ambassador Baptist Ministries. Safety as we travel, support and good health for both of us.
