Summer Time - June 28, 2013

I can't believe it has been so long since I posted on my blog. I guess that just shows I am way too busy. Yes, a lot has been going on in our lives these last few months. I will not go into all the details but just continue to pray for us. Since school got out we have been really busy...but it has been great not having to work summer school. Getting up at 3:30 am every morning I think was having it toll on Scott and I. His mom had surgery a week ago Monday to have a total shoulder, she is in rehab and doing fine. She is looking forward to get home. I would like to ask you to be praying for a co-worker who is having surgery next week (July 3)for breast cancer. Also, my next appointment at MD Anderson will be July 25, as of May I have been cancer free for 3 years. Continue to pray I get a good report and remain cancer free. I try to share my experience whenever I can to be a blessing and to glorify my Lord. "...This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby." John 11:4 This is the verse that the Lord gave me when going through cancer for the 2nd time. We went to Kentucky a few weeks and was able to share my testimony, it was amazing how it touched some of the people in that service. Thank you Lord for using me.

Update on my New Website

Some of you have probably already seen my website posted on Facebook. Today I just wanted to share more information for you so you will know more about the Flexi Clips. Once you go to the webpage there you will see all of the products you can buy online. They also have videos so you will know what size hair clip to purchase. There are 7 sizes (Mini, Extra Small, Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large and Mega) so you will be able to find just the right size for you and for different hairdos. I have received 5 hair clips in my kit and have used them. They are not tight and do not slip out. I also have used the headband, it is adjustable and doesn't get tight on your head like most headbands do. Other items are hair sticks, you-pins, bobby pins, o-rings and badge holders. The hair clips can also be used decorative clips for scrafs worn around neck. So take some time and check it out. I really love my Flexi Clips. I have gotten many comments. www.lillarose.biz/DNetterville
Check out the Flexi Clip for February.

Update - 6 month check up - Jan. 10, 2013

First of all thank you for all your prayers. God has answered again. Praise the Lord! Everything is OK, my CA125 was 10.2. I am good for another 6 months. I asked when I will go to once a year and Dr. Soliman said after the 5th year after my last chemo. So this May it will be 3 years for me. I am just blessed and thankful for God's healing again. As we were driving to MD Anderson we were talking about this May will be 10 years that we have been making trips back and forth. Remembering my first appointment in May of 2003 and feeling overwhelmed and scared as to what lied ahead. So thankful for each and everyone at MD Anderson that took care of me or even just shared a word of encouragement. Again, if you know of anyone going through cancer, this is the place to go for treatment. It amazes me how people who live right here in Houston that may be going through cancer choose other options for their treatment. Also, please continue to pray for our co-workers who are going through cancer just to mention a few names for you to be praying for: Dawn, Becky, Marie, Pattie It seems everytime we turn around someone else has cancer I was thinking back when I was a child and hearing that my grandmother's sister (on my dad's side) had cancer. I don't know what kind it was but remembering thinking "I wonder if I can catch it". It use to be that when you heard the word cancer, you automatically thought of death. I remember them telling me I had cancer, and that was the furtherest thing from my mind. I am so thankful that I had the Lord to lean on and trust for my healing. We ought to thank the Lord for everyday HE gives us.

Happy New Year - January 2, 2013

Happy New Year to each and everyone of you. Hope y'all are looking forward to a great year. It has some time since I have since I have written on my blog. I guess it started August of 2012, when a man came by our house and asked if it was For Sale. We had had it up For Sale but nothing serious. Scott told him "Maybe". Apparently they had seen the house when we had it For Sale and came back to check. So the process began, and it was a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggggggggg process. We had hoped the house would of sold during the summer, since our work schedule is alot better, time wise. He signed a contract and I started packing. We also were in earnest looking for a house for us to move into. We were looking at foreclosures, while some were really bad and then were some out of our price range. With all this going on, thinking we would close sometime at the end of September. Also, school had started and our hours back to crazy plus all the work at the church. We found a house we liked but was still too high, so I continued to look. One day I was looking and I told Scott the house was off the market. I was sad. But I continued looking and found it was still on the market but the price had dropped by $10,000. He said let's call and check on it. So we made an offer and waited. In the meantime, we were not going to be able to close by the end of September. So we moved all our stuff to the church. Oh, yeah now we have no place to live??????? A preacher friend had offered us to stay in their profit's chamber for a couple of weeks. Then we found out from Scott's sister that her mother-in-laws house was empty with all the furniture still in it. Thank you Lord. So we moved into her house, thinking it would be just a couple of weeks. We had stuff at the church and now stuff at the house we will be staying at. The buyers for our house decided they needed an extension so they could get more money to do some work on the house. We are NOT happy. We moved out of our house on October 5. Alot of things going on with both houses, revival at church, and while the revival was going on we took the preacher and others out to eat. By the time Scott & I got to the house we were staying at, we were sooooooooo sick. FOOD POISONING, now we miss work along with everything else. Our stay at this house was 4 weeks, missed work for sickness and now we have to take off to close on the houses. That was another story, of where we had to go to sign and the deadlines, but God helped us through it all. Scott finally took time off and got us moved into our new house on Nov. 6. It has been very stressful and hard months, but am looking forward to enjoying our new house. If you are on facebook you can see the pictures of our new house. To update you on my health I am doing great. My next appointment at MD Anderson is January 10. So please be in prayer for good results again. God has been so good to me. Also, be in prayer for a couple of our co-workers Dawn & Becky they both have cancer. Hopefully I will be better at keeping my blog up to date.
